Colgate Falls to Bucknell, 4-0

HOW IT HAPPENED

Colgate's best chance of the first quarter came on a penalty corner as Dani Palmer passed to Charlotte Hamilton who fired on frame but the Bucknell goalkeeper made a kick save.

With just over three minutes left in the first quarter, Bucknell found an opening on the left side and shot at close range but Claire van Kempen made an instinctive kick save keeping the score level at zero after one quarter of action.

Bucknell was able to convert a shot from the right side to go up 1-0 early in the second quarter.

The Bison were able to double their lead with seven minutes left in the second quarter.

The Raiders started first year Mackie Mann in goal for the second half.

Bucknell scored its third of the game a little over a minute into the third quarter. After a first save from Mann, the Bison buried the rebound to go up 3-0.

Mann made two big saves just a minute later on a Bucknell penalty corner. The first a shot towards the bottom right kicked away and the second on the ensuing rebound, blocked away.

Bucknell was able to convert a penalty corner to go up 4-0 with 11 minutes left in the third quarter.

After three quarters of action, Bucknell led Colgate 4-0.

Mann made another big kick save with nine minutes left in the game. Kicking the ball out with her left foot off a shot from her right side.

Colgate were unable to find the back of the net and fell to the Bison, 4-0.

The Raiders (2-9, 0-3) head to Hanover, N.H. for a non-conference matchup with Dartmouth on Sunday, Oct. 13. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m.
