Kaltounková Tabbed Forward of the Week
DANBURY, Conn. – Fifth-year forward Kristýna Kaltounková was named the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, the conference announced Tuesday morning. It is the fourth week in a row a Raider hauls in the honor and Kaltounková's second time in three weeks.
The Vlasim, Czech Republic native contributed four points this past weekend with a +3 rating as Colgate took down Rensselaer and Union by a combined score of 8-1.
She kicked off her weekend just 13 seconds into Friday's 5-1 win over Dartmouth, scoring her 11th goal of the season on her first shift of the game. She would go on to add a power-play assist later in the second stanza on what served as the game-winning goal.
Kaltounková scored the go-ahead, power-play goal four minutes into Saturday's 3-0 defeat of Harvard, later assisting on an empty-netter that solidified Colgate's 10th-consecutive victory.
The fifth-year forward now has 17 game-winning goals in her career, tied for the most in program history with Jessie Eldridge '19 and Danielle Serdachny '23.
She will look for the record-breaker this weekend as No. 5 Colgate travels to face Princeton on Friday at 6 p.m. A top-10 matchup follows on Saturday when the Raiders battle the No. 7 Bobcats of Quinnipiac at 3:30 p.m. in M&T Bank Arena.
