Five Raiders to Play on Euro Hockey Tour
HAMILTON – Colgate will be well-represented at the Six Nations Tournament in Tampere, Finland this December, as five Raiders will play in the third leg of the annual Women's Euro Hockey Tour (WEHT).
Current student-athletes Emma Pais '27, Madeline Palumbo '27 and Hannah Murphy '25 will represent Canada, joined by current Raider Kristýna Kaltounková '24 on Team Czechia. Noemi Neubauerová '22, currently on the preseason camp roster for the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL, will also suit up for the Czech Republic.
Pais, Palumbo and Murphy don the maple leaf after most recently skating for Team Canada's National Development Team this past August. In a three-game series against the United States, Murphy made 78 saves in two starts, while Palumbo and Pais added two points each across three outings.
Kaltounková is back with the Czechia national team for the first time since the 2020-21 season, while Neubauerová has played for her country in five IIHF World Championships and the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The Six Nations Tournament serves as the third competition in the Women's Euro Hockey Tour. Czechia won the first leg in Kloten, Switzerland with seven points, also claiming first place with eight tallies on the second stop in Södertälje, Sweden.
The core WEHT teams of Czechia, Finland and Switzerland will compete with their national teams in the third tournament this December, joined by the collegiate squads from first-time participants Canada and the United States.
The Six Nations Tournament begins with preliminary round play on December 11 before the medal matchups on December 15.
