DANBURY, Conn. – Senior goalie Hannah Murphy was named the ECAC's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week after earning two wins over No. 9 Clarkson and No. 7 St. Lawrence this past weekend.
In both overtime thrillers Murphy paced the Raiders with two 30+ save performances. Across both contests, the Colgate captain posted a 1.51 goals against average while stopping 96% of all shots faced.
Murphy also logged a new career-high 55 saves in Friday night's 2-1 win versus Clarkson, the most saves ever by a Raider goalie in a victory. She is now one of five Colgate netminders to ever record 55 saves in a single game, with her career-outing ranking in a ninth-place tie all-time in program history.
Murphy will look to lead the Raiders on the road this weekend as they travel to Union on Friday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m.
