"Binghamton is top of their conference and came out and gave us a good game. We were able to finish on top because of the senior leadership we have on the field. Lucy was dominant on the draw, Kendall Belanger was a huge part of the clear, and Nelle communicating through the defense."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams traded goals back and forth in the opening frame.
- Gracie DeSimone scored her first of the season to get the scoring started just 45 seconds into the game.
- After Binghamton netted the tying goal, Aubrey McMahon scored to put Colgate back ahead by a goal.
- Lucy Licata scored the Raiders third but Binghamton tied it up with under 30 seconds left in the quarter.
- Caroline Panzirer and Olivia McDonald scored back-to-back goals early in the second quarter to give the Raiders a 5-3 lead.
- Grace DelNegro scored Colgate's third goal in just over a minute extending its advantage to 6-3.
- After a Binghamton timeout, Kait Henning buried her fourth of the season.
- The Bearcats ended the Raiders four goal run halfway through the second frame.
- The hosts netted their fifth of the game before Lucy Licata put the Raiders back ahead by three.
- Colgate remained in front 8-6 at the halftime break.
- Sarah Marcovici picked up another goal at the start of the second half to give the Raiders a 9-6 lead.
- Binghamton scored three straight goals to tie the game at nine apiece.
- Aubrey McMahon netted her fifth of the season to regain the lead for Colgate.
- The Bearcats responded with three more goals to take a 12-11 lead at the start of the fourth quarter.
- Marcovici sparked a four goal run for the Raiders as they took a 15-12 lead that they never relinquished as Colgate defeated Binghamton, 16-13.
