Women’s Rowing Battles Hamilton on Lake Moraine
HAMILTON – The Colgate women's rowing team opened its fall season with a dual against Hamilton College on a tidy fall morning on Hamilton's own Lake Moraine.
Colgate sent six boats to the water for its fall opener. The Raiders' Varsity Eight turned in a time of 11:40.8, besting Hamilton's competing boat by nearly 40 seconds (12.18.9).
The maroon and white saw multiple victories throughout the day, including the 2v8 (12:13.9) that also bested the Continentals boat by nearly 40 seconds (12:50.5).
Colgate's 1V8 (A) boat clipped its competing boat from Hamilton with a time of 12:55.2. The B and C boats clocked in with times of 12:50.5 and 13:07.4, while the Varsity 4 earned a time of 14:25.1 which finished just behind Hamilton's 1V4 time of 13:55.4.
