Coach Lamison-Myers' Comments
"Great team win today. Pitching was outstanding and the long ball came through. I am really pleased with the way our first years are handling the pressure of being every-day players and our upperclassmen are leading the way." Colgate 2, Eastern Kentucky 1
The Raiders fell behind in the first after Eastern Kentucky stole home as Colgate picked off the runner at first. Quinn Livesay hit a two-out solo shot to tie the game at one apiece after the first frame.
Maya Servedio pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the top half of the third to set up an Analisa Raffaelli bomb that gave Colgate a 2-1 lead through the first three innings.
Mikala Ham came in to relieve Servedio in the fifth inning. Servedio finished with one earned run on three hits and one strikeout.
Ham pitched the final two and two-thirds innings without allowing a single hit and struck out two batters. Servedio and Ham combined to allow just three hits and one earned run to help the Raiders defeat Eastern Kentucky 2-1.
