Livesay and Herbst Named Preseason All-League
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Catcher Quinn Livesay and infielder Jillian Herbst were named to the 12-person Preseason All-Patriot League squad, the conference announced Friday afternoon. The standout seniors represent the Raiders who were picked to finish fifth in the Patriot League after an 8-10 conference record last season.
Livesay, a 2024 First-Team All-Patriot League selection, is fresh off a career year where she logged new personal bests in hits (39), runs (18) and home runs (4) while hitting a career-high .322. The senior backstop has led the Patriot League in runners caught stealing for three-consecutive seasons, including 14 last year which was the 15th-most in the NCAA.
Herbst enters her senior season fresh off a Second-Team All-Patriot League nod in 2024. The middle-infielder started all 50 games for Colgate last spring, hitting .314 and finishing the year second in the league with 112 assists and a .970 fielding percentage.
The dynamic duo will lead the Raiders into their season-opening weekend at the Kickoff Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. Colgate opens the 2025 campaign against Montana at 2 p.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 7.
