Raiders Fall to Boston University
Box Score HAMILTON — The Colgate women's tennis team's season ended on Friday with a 4-0 loss to second seeded Boston University. After a tough doubles point, the Terriers came out on fire in singles, quickly taking the three singles matches they needed to clinch the match. The result sees the Raiders finishing at 12-11 on the year for their sixth consecutive winning season.
Boston University came out strong in the doubles, taking line one 6-0 over junior Amelia Galin and sophomore Sophia Montero. The Terriers clinched the point with a 6-3 win over senior captain Eliza Podlas and sophomore Carina Cristobal.
Singles action followed, where first-year Anya Kunar fell 6-1, 6-1 at line three. Galin was defeated 6-2, 6-1 at line one, and Podlas fell 6-2, 6-0 at line six. For the unfinished matches, Montero was down 2-6, but up 2-1 in the second at line two. First-year Rebecca Hess was down 5-7, but up 1-0 at line four, and senior captain Addie Eklund was down 1-6, 2-5 at line five.
