Galin Named Player of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Amelia Galin earned her third-career Patriot League Women's Player of the Week award after going undefeated in first singles and adding a flight one doubles victory in Colgate's first weekend of competition in the spring season.
Galin was instrumental in the Raiders 5-2 triumph against Stonehill on the road last Saturday contributing a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win in line one singles.
The Westport, Conn. native stayed undefeated on the weekend with another top-line victory against Rhode Island, winning 7-5, 6-3 after adding a 6-4 triumph in first doubles earlier in the duel.
Galin and the rest of the Raiders are back in action this weekend starting with a matchup against Marist on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. inside Drumlins Country Club. Colgate then hits the road for a date with Dartmouth on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. in Hanover, N.H.
