Colgate Places Record 445 on PL Academic Honor Roll
HAMILTON – Colgate athletics placed a program-record 485 total student-athletes on the 2024-25 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll after 285 honorees were named to the winter/spring honor roll on Thursday.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate athletics placed a program-record 445 total student-athletes on the 2024-25 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll after 285 honorees were named to the winter/spring honor roll on Thursday.
Colgate has increased its total number of honorees each year since 2021, and this marks the fourth consecutive year the Raiders have set a department record. Colgate's 445 honorees in 2025 ranked fifth among Patriot League institutions and shattered the department's previous record of 415, which had been set last spring.
For the winter/spring honor roll, men's lacrosse's 47 honorees led all Colgate programs and ranked No. 1 among its conference peers, followed by men's track and field (38), women's lacrosse (32), women's track and field (32), women's rowing (30), and women's swimming and diving (30).
Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the academic honor roll for achieving a 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) or better during the semester in which their League champion is crowned. The 2023-24 season marks the seventh consecutive academic year the League has topped 3,000 honor roll selections. The League previously had 1,236 student-athletes named to the fall academic honor roll.
The winter/spring academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes from the 15 sports that conduct their League championship during the spring semester, including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, women's rowing and softball.
