Adam Goldman '94: An Agreeable Kind of Horror

Description

An Agreeable Kind of Horror is a collection of notes for an imaginary documentary on the Grand Tour, with detours through the birth of the sublime, architectural fantasies, souvenir mugs, 1990s lo-fi aesthetics, disaster movies, ghost cities, fake ruins, and the ideological uses of archaeology. Goldman is a filmmaker and writer with a background in fizzy art pop. He has screened work at MoMA, Los Angeles Filmforum, the Toronto International Film Festive, SXSW, and Spectacle in Brooklyn, New York. He received a BA from Colgate University and MA from CalArts in Los Angeles, CA.Co-sponsored by the Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Initiative, and part of Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Weekend 2025.Please also join us on April 5 at 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Movie Theater for a screening of Goldman's Flipside with a Q&A with the filmmaker to follow.
