- Aug 253:00 PMIn Dialogue (Ciccone and Hancock)Today's Events | Various Locations
As a continuation to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Module you took prior to arrival to Colgate, dive deeper into connections with your Link groups through dialogue. Dialogue is one way to build empathy, and begins with active listening and affirming the value of someone’s contributions to the dialogue. These are prerequisites to every strong relationship you’ll have at Colgate. Affirmation is not an indication of agreement with someone; however, it is an opportunity to connect with another person with authenticity. In Dialogue… allows new students to reflect on their own identities and experiences, and build relationships across differences, integrating themes from this year's Community Read. - Aug 253:00 PMWhat's New in Moodle 4.5?Today's Events
Explore Moodle 4.5's new features to simplify course management and improve learning. This workshop covers course subsections, enhanced assignments (with automatic additional attempts) and improved notifications. We'll also look at new quiz options like reopening attempts and regrading, plus updates to bulk editing capabilities. This workshop is geared toward those who have used Moodle previously. If you are brand new to Moodle or would like a deeper dive, we recommend taking the 'Getting Started with Moodle' workshop. This will take place as a Zoom meeting. Participants will receive the link to join the meeting via their confirmation email. - Aug 253:00 PMYour Rights and Responsibilities (Brown)Today's Events | Olin Hall, Love Auditorium
Every Colgate student is afforded specific rights and expected to uphold certain responsibilities. These are necessary for any well-functioning academic community and to ensure everyone has access to individual success. Colgate’s Honor Code, the Student Code of Conduct, and Colgate’s Statement on Freedom of Expression will be covered in this session. Your actions impact you, they will impact others, and, ultimately, they help to define your educational and personal experience at Colgate. Your success here begins by being informed about the policies and expectations of you as a student in community with others. - Aug 253:00 PMYour Rights and Responsibilities (MDCC)Today's Events | James C.
