Be the Change Weekend is a collaboration between the Max A. Shacknai COVE, Career Services, Alumni Engagement, Advancement, and the Common Good Professional Network, highlighting the incredible work of our alumni in service to the public good. This event features Colgate alumni working as changemakers around the country and students who have an expressed interest in the Common Good sector.The Colgate Professional Networks were created to provide opportunities for alumni and parents to connect/network and to engage with students interested in pursuing related careers. Thousands of alumni, parents, and students have engaged with the Networks by attending regional, on-campus, and virtual events. Whether you are a long-time fan of Dr. Seuss stories or have yet to be introduced to his classic books, all are invited to Seuss Saturday in Hamilton, NY. Join us as we celebrate Seuss stories old and new! There will be various activities for all ages at different times and locations throughout the village. Come to just one, or come to them all! Admission to the day’s programs and activities is free.Schedule of Events10:30 a.m. — Hamilton Public Library, 13 Broad Street We will kick off the celebration with a special story time at the Hamilton Public Library. Open to children of all ages.11:00 a.m. — Colgate Bookstore, 3 Utica Street Stop in at the Colgate Bookstore to make bird feeders and learn about native pollinator plants.11:30 a.m. — Arts at the Palace, 19 Utica Street Head over to the Palace Theater for a LIVE Seussi-cal sing-a-long with Jenni Larchar of Jenni’s Music Studio! Kids of all ages are welcome to sing and dance along.12:30 p.m. — Hamilton Movie Theater, 7 Lebanon Street Next, it’s time for lunch and a movie! Enjoy free pizza from Oliveri’s Pizzeria while watching “The Lorax” (2012, PG) sponsored by the Colgate Bookstore.
