The goal of this session is to help you identify wellness strategies that will contribute to your success both in and out of the classroom. With holistic wellbeing in mind, Finding Your Balance aims to help you make safe and responsible decisions. This includes important information about the use and misuse of alcohol or other substances. As a continuation to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Module you took prior to arrival to Colgate, dive deeper into connections with your Link groups through dialogue. Dialogue is one way to build empathy, and begins with active listening and affirming the value of someone’s contributions to the dialogue. These are prerequisites to every strong relationship you’ll have at Colgate. Affirmation is not an indication of agreement with someone; however, it is an opportunity to connect with another person with authenticity. In Dialogue… allows new students to reflect on their own identities and experiences, and build relationships across differences, integrating themes from this year's Community Read. - Aug 259:00 AMIn Dialogue (MDCC)Today's Events | James C.
