VILLANOVA, Pa. — Another back-and-forth battle that went down to the final snap saw Colgate Football come out on the short end for the second consecutive week, 24-17, at No. 12/13 Villanova on Saturday evening in the final meeting between the two teams before they become Patriot League foes starting in 2026.

The Raiders finished the UConn invitational with the host as their last match up. UConn was able to rally late in set three and four to defeat Colgate in four sets, 3–1.

An action-packed third quarter left the Raiders one goal shy of a victory in Cornell's indoor facility, Barton Hall. The Bears were able to top the Raiders, 2–1.

The Colgate Raiders dropped both matches at the UConn Invitational. In their first encounter with both teams, Ball State University edged Colgate University 3–2 in a tense five-set match while South Dakota captured a 3–1 victory.
