The Founders’ Day Convocation ceremony commemorates the devotion of the 13 people who established the institution that later became Colgate University. This is the moment that the Dean of the College will introduce you to your faculty. This ritual, which happens each night before the first day of classes, serves as the official kickoff to the academic year.
