GREEN BAY, Wis.  — Colgate Running Backs Coach Jared Livingston will continue to mold Raider running backs with NFL expertise after participating in the National Football League's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Green Bay Packers this May.

"It was a great honor to have been selected by the Green Bay Packers as one of their Bill Walsh Coaching interns," Livingston said. "The experience of being in the NFL environment was tremendous."

The fellowship is designed to help qualified coaches gain exposure to professional off-season workouts and training camps. All 32 teams participate in the annual fellowship with the goal of increasing the number of full-time minority coaches in the NFL.

In his first year in the program, Livingston was accepted as a fellow with the Green Bay Packers. He spent two weeks observing and participating in the Packers' phase two off-season workouts, also assisting in the first week of Organized Team Activities (OTAs).

Most of Livingston's duties included breaking down film for the Packers as they prepare for the 2024-25 NFL season. Working primarily with Green Bay running backs coach Ben Sirmans, Livingston helped facilitate practices and assisted in position-specific individual drills during OTAs.

"Having the ability to assist that staff and see the ways in which they teach and promote culture and player interactions was invaluable," Livingston said. "I'm grateful to have had the opportunity, and I am excited to incorporate the things I learned with the Packers here at Colgate."

Livingston will bring his newfound knowledge back to a talented running back room in Hamilton led by rising sophomore Chris Gee, who was eighth in the Patriot League with 5.8 yards per carry last season. Senior Brendan Cassamajor poured in four touchdowns for the Raiders last year and will return for his final campaign in maroon and white with classmate Tank Pritchett

Junior Marco Maldonado rounds out Livingston's group of upperclassmen who will be joined by incoming first-year Cole Fulton out of Poland Seminary High School.
