Today's Events | Little Hall, Clifford Gallery (101 Little Hall)
As a culmination of their work in the major, senior studio art concentrators complete a semester-long project, creating a body of work based on a concept that is explored in a range of media. This year's studio art exhibition, "Reverberations", features the work of seniors Elizabeth Armstrong, Sophia Cucinotta, Liv Dorian, Aleza Falk, Leia Francis, Caralyn Schmidlein, and Lauren Stewart.Art history concentrators complete and exhibit a rigorous capstone thesis. This year's exhibiting art historians are: Haley Bloch, Grace Helm, Maggie Manzella, Katharine Monahan, Abby Shadwick, Aleksia Taçi, Wendy Wu, and Jacky Zhang.Opening reception: 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11*Please note: Weekend hours are dependent on the availability of student monitors. If driving a distance, please contact the department (315-228-7633) during regular working hours to ensure the gallery will be open. The gallery is not open during university breaks and holidays.

Colgate uses a number of approved programs that are administered by Arcadia: College of Global Studies. These are direct enrollment at universities in England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The include: Queen Mary University of London, City University of London, University of Edinburgh, University College Dublin, University of Sydney, James Cook University, Victoria University of Wellington. Meet representative Wendy Lombardo to learn more details about each of these programs and the wide variety of academics on offer. Wendy will be available in 101 McGregory until 2:30pm for anyone who cannot make the meeting time.

The independent democracy of Taiwan- the producer of the world's best semi-conductor chips- is under massive pressure from the People's Republic of China to return to the motherland. This presentation focuses on the people of Taiwan and how they understand their current position.Presenter: David Robinson is the Robert H.N. Ho Professor in Asian Studies and a Professor of History at Colgate University. For the last 40 years, he has regularly traveled to China, Taiwan, and Japan for research and study.

Charles Fuller’s ZOOMAN and the Sign is a story of a boy and a gun, a girl and a family, a neighborhood and a sign, all unfolding in the heat of summer. “These are strange and breathless days, dog days, when people are led to do things they are sure to be sorry for after” (Babbitt).Auditions will be held in Ryan 212 on:January 22, 2025 from 4:30-7 p.m.January 23, 2025 from 8-9:30 p.m.January 24, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. This play has an all-Black cast.Directed by Xose Agbadan '25.
