We’re excited to invite you to join a historic shared experience to witness the Rubin Observatory “First Look” Domecast, streaming live in the Ho Tung Visualization Lab on Monday, June 23rd at 10:30 a.m. with images being released at 11 a.m.Hosted by the INTUITIVE® Planetarium at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, this live Domecast watch party will unite audiences around the world in celebration of one of astronomy’s most anticipated milestones - the release of the first light images from the NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory.On June 23, planetariums around the world will come together to witness the unveiling of the first-ever images from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory via a live Domecast, hosted from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s INTUITIVE® Planetarium. The “Rubin First Look” Domecast will be livestreamed to planetariums powered by Cosm’s industry-leading planetarium platform Digistar, which enables timely scientific storytelling, real-time visualization, and seamless dome-to-dome connectivity across a global network of more than 700 dome theaters.Built atop a remote mountaintop in Chile, the NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory is equipped with the largest camera ever constructed and will capture an ultra-wide, ultra-high-definition time-lapse record of the Universe over a 10-year period – delivering the largest astronomical movie of all time.
