Belpedio and Chorske Earn ECAC Weekly Honors
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Brett Chorske and Nic Belpedio collected ECAC Weekly Awards following Colgate's sweep at RIT over the weekend.
Chorske earned Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels. The Junior posted four points in the two victories with three goals and an assist. He also went +5 and fired 11 shots.
On Friday, Chorske put the Raiders ahead 3-2, finding the back of the net 35 seconds into the second period. He tied his career-high with three points on Saturday, logging a goal and two helpers. The Edina, Minn., native tied the game at 1-1 seven minutes into the first, just 19 seconds after the Tigers took the lead, then gave Colgate a 3-2 advantage 18 seconds into the third.
Belpedio was named Defender of the Week after scoring on Friday. He evened the game at 2-2 with just under two minutes left in the first, notching the Raiders' second of three-straight goals. The goal was the second of Belpedio's career against the Tigers. He recorded his first collegiate goal as a first-year during Colgate's win at RIT in 2021.
This marks the third time that Belpedio has been named Defender of the Week after earning it once in each of the previous two seasons.
Colgate is off for a bye week before hosting Brown and Yale at 7 p.m. Nov. 8-9 in its ECAC-opening weekend.
