Ebmeyer Qualifies for USATF U20 Championships
HAMILTON — Colgate Track & Field first-year Dakin Ebmeyer will compete in the 1,500 meters at the USA Track & Field U20 Championships. The meet is set for June 12-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Ebmeyer had a standout season for the Raiders. He broke the first-year record in the 1,500 at the Raleigh Relays with a time of 3:51.08, qualifying him for the U20 Championships.
The Wayne, Pa., native also medaled in the 1,500 at two meets. He won his first career outdoor race at the Maryland Invite and grabbed silver at the Buffalo Invitational.
During the indoor season, Ebmeyer won the 3,000 meters at the Southern Tier Invite and placed second in the mile at the Ramapo College Opener.
He was named Rookie of the Meet at the Patriot League Indoor Championships after finishing fourth in the mile and helping the Raiders' distance medley earn a bronze medal.
