Morrow Named to Team USA World Roster
UTICA, N.Y. – Colgate women's hockey sophomore Sydney Morrow was named to the 2024 U.S. Women's National Team that will compete in Utica, N.Y. on April 3-14 during the 2024 IIHF Women's World Championship.
The defender most recently helped Colgate to the program's second-ever Frozen Four berth after garnering Second Team All-ECAC honors in her first season as a Raider.
Morrow was also a part of Team USA's Collegiate Series roster last August when the Americans swept Team Canada. She contributed an assist in the series-opening 4-3 victory in Lake Placid.
The CCM/AHCA Second Team All-American finished the 2023-24 college hockey season in a tie for most points by a blueliner in the NCAA, and was voted ECAC Defender of the Week thrice in addition to conference Defender of the Month honors in December.
Team USA kicks off the IIHF World Championships in Utica this Wednesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. in the Adirondack Bank Center. Morrow will face off against fellow Raider Danielle Serdachny when the U.S. faces Team Canada on Monday, April 8, also at 7 p.m. in the Adirondack Bank Center. Tickets for both games and the entirety of the 10-team tournament can be purchased at EmpireStateTix.com.
