Ham Garners Patriot League Pitcher of the Week
HAMILTON – First-year pitcher Mikala Ham, coming off a 3-0 week in the circle, has been named the Patriot League's Pitcher of the Week, announced Monday afternoon.
Ham secured three wins during Colgate's current five-game winning streak, posting a .066 ERA with seven strikeouts while scattering three hits and one earned run in 10 2/3 innings of work.
The first-year Cedar Park, Texas, product tossed a complete-game three-hitter with five strikeouts in Colgate's 6-1 win over Holy Cross. She came in relief of a 2-2 game against Holy Cross on Sunday and stranded two runners in scoring position to set the stage for Colgate's walk-off 3-2 victory.
In Colgate's first of five wins last week, Ham tossed 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. She did not allow a hit and recorded one strikeout to pick up the victory.
Ham is now 6-3 on the season and sports a 4.15 ERA with two complete games and two saves in 28 appearances.
