Raiders Drop League Bout on the Road
Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – Women's tennis triumphed on singles courts one, four and five, but a loss in the second slot and two three-set heartbreakers ended the Raiders' winning streak in Patriot League play with a 4-3 loss to Loyola.
Colgate could not claim an early advantage after losing the doubles decision. Eliza Podlas/Avery Isaac were the sole victors in doubles play with a 6-4 court three win.
In singles action, the Raiders won six of the first eight points on courts one through three, but could only claim one point overall from those matches when Sophia Montero won 6-4, 6-3 on court one.
Addie Eklund evened the score after a 6-4, 7-6 win in the fourth slot, and Gigi Bohan's 3-6, 6-4 6-3 come-from-behind victory left the duel in Sasha Herman's hands on court six.
However, a dominant 6-1 first set was not enough as she dropped a three-set marathon 6-1, 3-6, 3-6.
