OLEAN, N.Y. – Robbie Herzig made history with the program's lowest round (63) and the lowest in relation to par (-8) to win the Duel at Bartlett on Sunday at Bartlett Country Club.
Herzig's 7-under 63 on Sunday bested the program record of 66 shared by Dugan McCabe, Mark Gertsen, and Ryan Skae (twice). His 8-under in relation to par topped four Raiders who shared the program record at 5-under. Herzig was one of them (Battle at Rum Pointe, 2023).
Colgate's 36-hole total of 560 tied the program record held by the 2021-22 Raiders who set the mark during the Bucknell Invitational in October 2021. Colgate beat St. Bonaventure by 17 strokes to win the head-to-head battle on Sunday.
Herzig was on fire from the get-go on Sunday. He turned in a 29 through the first nine holes with five birdies and an eagle on the 294-yard, par-4 fifth hole. Herzig added three more birdies back nine to finish at 7-under 63, winning the outright title by seven strokes at 8-under 132.
