Records, Smith Land All-District Second Team
HAMILTON – Fifth-year senior forward Keegan Records and sophomore guard Braeden Smith were named All-District 13 Second Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Tuesday.
Records landed on the second team for the second consecutive year. He is one of three Raiders averaging double figures and enters the NCAA tournament scoring 10.9 points per game along with 6.3 rebounds and a .565 field goal percentage.
The South Kingstown, R.I., native and two-time All-Patriot League First Team selection has two 20-point performances including a season-best 22 points in Colgate's win at Vermont (12/9/23). Records has three double-doubles this season and 10 for his collegiate career.
Smith, the Patriot League Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player, leads the team averaging 12.5 points per game. He does a little bit of everything averaging 5.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. He ranks 19th nationally in total assists (196).
In the Patriot League championship game, the Seattle native posted his third double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Smith has led the team in scoring 12 times this season and enters the NCAA tournament with five 20-point performances.
