Cross Country Hosts Harry Lang Invitational
HAMILTON – Colgate cross country hosted the annual Harry Lang Invitational on Saturday with nine teams competing in both the women's 5K and men's 6K races.
As a team, Colgate finished the women's competition in seventh place with first-year Audrey Luell and senior Carollin Mellin finishing in 28th and 35th place, respectively.
The Raiders ended the men's 6K in fifth place with first-year Dakin Ebmeyer leading the way for the hosts in 24th place. Junior Owen Holland and first-year Andrew McGraw were also top finishers for Colgate in 35th and 37th place, respectively.
"Today was a good stepping stone for our young squad," Head Track & Field Coach Chelsea France said. "Our team executed our race plan and stayed composed in this early part of the season. It was amazing to see the support of family, friends, and our administrators today. We're proud of today's effort and looking forward to continuing to build throughout the season."UP NEXT
Colgate heads to Rochester on Sept. 16 to compete in the Rochester Invitational.
