Sitkowski Named Rookie of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — First-year quarterback Aleks Sitkowski was voted Patriot League Rookie of the Week after posting a career day in Colgate's 21-20 loss to Lafayette this past weekend.
Sitkowski logged new personal-bests with 10 carries for 72 yards, averaging 7.2 yards per rush. The Old Bridge, N.J., native was also a perfect 4-4 passing, adding 24 yards through the air.
His 30-yard first quarter run jolted Colgate to life on the first scoring drive of the game, and it also served as the longest play from scrimmage for the Raider offense.
Sitkowski and the rest of the Raiders round out the final two weeks of the regular season on the road, starting with a trip to Lehigh this Saturday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. before a 1 p.m. matchup with Bucknell on Nov. 23.
