Spring Schedules Announced for Colgate Athletics

HAMILTON – Spring schedules for the 2023 season have been announced for 10 Colgate athletics programs, including golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field.

Men's Golf | Schedule
Colgate's spring slate begins March 11-12 when the Raiders compete in the Lindenwood Invitational at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. Other spring tournaments include the Carpetbagger Classic (March 16-17), Battle at Rum Pointe (March 29-30), and Rutherford Intercollegiate (April 13-14). The Raiders will face off against St. Bonaventure in Olean (April 20-21) before the Patriot League Championships April 26-28 at Saucon Valley CC Grace Course hosted by Lehigh.

Men's Lacrosse | Schedule
The Raiders open the season with five straight road games, beginning with a trip to Penn State Feb. 3 and then playing Syracuse at the JMA Wireless Dome two days later. Colgate takes on a pair of New York foes in Hobart (Feb. 11) and UAlbany (Feb. 17), followed by a neutral site contest against Yale Feb. 21. The team then travels back to Pennsylvania to play Villanova on Feb. 24. The Raiders open Patriot League action March 2 against Loyola in its first of four home conference tilts. Colgate will also welcome Lafayette, Lehigh, and Boston University to Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium. 

Women's Lacrosse | Schedule
Colgate kicks off its 2024 spring campaign with back-to-back road games at Temple (2/10) and Harvard (2/17). The Raiders make their home debut four days later when Binghamton comes to town for a non-conference showdown (2/21). Two more non-conference bouts (at Niagara 2/24, vs UAlbany 3/2) precede Patriot League play, which starts at home against Holy Cross (3/9). Nine league games total, including five at Andy Kerr Stadium, take place before the conference tournament, which is set to begin with quarterfinal matchups on April 28. 

Men's Rowing | Schedule
Men's Rowing begins the spring season at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia, April 6-7. The following weekend, the Raiders will race at the Knecht Cup in Camden, N.J. Colgate then travels south for the SIRA Championship Regatta (April 19-20) in Oak Ridge, Tenn., searching for its third-straight title. The Raiders take a few weeks off before competing at the Dad Vail Regatta May 10-11 followed by the Atlantic Sprints on May 17. The IRA National Championship Regatta will be held May 31-June 2 in Princeton, N.J.

Women's Rowing | Schedule
The Women's Rowing squad will begin its season on the road with a trip down south to face off against Marist on March 15 during a spring training trip at Clemson University. The Raiders then stay local to compete in the New York State Crews Regatta on April 20 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., before racing Marist at home on April 27. The team rounds out it's Spring 2024 with the Sprint League Championships and Patriot League Championships on May 5 and 17, respectively.  

Softball | Schedule
Softball begins the 2024 campaign with a trip to Houston, Texas Feb. 8-11, when it will play the University of Houston and other teams. The Raiders then visit Florida the following two weekends, playing games at Stetson Feb. 15-18 and the University of Florida Feb. 22- 25. After a bye week, Colgate heads to Madeira Beach, Fla. for spring break, facing off against Florida Gulf Coast and USF. The Raiders will also stop in Maryland on their way back for a series against UMBC March 16-17. Patriot League play begins March 23-24 with a road trip to Lehigh. Colgate's first home series will be against Boston University April 6-7. The Raiders will also play Bucknell and Army at Eaton Street Softball Complex in addition to a non-conference tilt against UAlbany.

Men's Tennis | Schedule
A busy spring for Men's Tennis kicks off the spring season with a trip to West Point for the Army Invitational on the weekend of Jan. 19. The first home matches of the season for the Raiders take place on Feb. 2 and 3 when Colgate hosts Le Moyne and Villanova on back-to-back days before heading to the Keystone State to take on Duquesne and St. Francis on the road on Feb. 10 and 11. Colgate trades home and away duels until March 12, when the Raiders kick off an eight-game road trip with a match against Eckerd in St. Petersburg, Florida. The final home match of the season takes place on April 14 against Stonehill, leaving the Raiders to compete in the Patriot League Championship on April 25 in West Point. 

Women's Tennis | Schedule
Women's Tennis embarks on its 2024 spring campaign with a trip to LIU on Jan. 27. Back-to-back home matches on Feb. 2 and 3 see the Raiders face off against Le Moyne and Merrimack, respectively, before heading to Pennsylvania for two bouts with Duquense and Saint Francis on Feb. 10 and 11. After hosting Marist on Feb. 17, Colgate hits the road for three straight duels away from home on Feb. 18, 24, and 25. The Raiders play host to Binghamton for their final homestand of the year on March 1, capping the season with eight consecutive road matches culminating in the Patriot League Championship on April 18 in Annapolis, Maryland. 

Track and Field | Men's Schedule | Women's Schedule
Colgate competes in six meets before the indoor Patriot League championships on Feb. 24. The Raiders cap off the regular indoor campaign with the annual Class of '32 Invitational at Sanford Field House on Feb. 17. Other indoor competitions include the Greg Page Relays, which took pace Dec. 1, along with the Southern Tier Invite (1/13), Ramapo Opener (1/19), Penn State Invitational (1/16), and Boston Valentine Invitational (2/9). 

Outdoor competition starts with the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational (3/14). Eight meets follow the season opener, including a battle hosted by conference foe Bucknell for the Bison Outdoor Classic (4/12), the same location as this year's Patriot League outdoor championships May 3-4.
