OLEAN, N.Y. – Robbie Herzig and Kevin Hollomon are tied for first place and Colgate leads St. Bonaventure by nine strokes after the opening round of the Duel at Bartlett on Saturday. 

Herzig and Hollomon carded 1-under-par 69s and are tied with St. Bonaventure's Peter Byrne atop the leaderboard. Herzig found success on the par 5s, finishing 2-under to lead the field. Hollomon tied with Bonnies' Byrne at 2-under on par 4s. Herzig paced the field with 15 pars.

Herzig is looking to retain his title at the Duel at Bartlett after tying for first place the last time these two teams met head-to-head in 2022. He also earned a share of first place at last year's Upstate Battle at Seven Oaks, which included St. Bonaventure and Bucknell. 

Dugan McCabe finished his day with a 2-over 72 and is tied for fourth place. Justin Fedele is one stroke back in a tie for fifth after turning in a 3-over-par 73. Michael Hanratty, playing as an individual, is in eighth place (+6), followed by Leo Li (+9) and Wyatt Petersen (+12).
