LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The ECAC released its major awards at its postseason banquet Thursday evening, with Michael Neumeier getting named Bitcoin Rookie of the Year.

Neumeier is the first ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year in program history. He was the only unanimous pick on the ECAC All-Rookie Team, announced last week. Neumeier had a standout rookie season, playing in 35 games and posting 20 points with 12 goals and eight assists.

He notched his first career goal in the Raiders' win over Sacred Heart and notched goals in back-to-back games against LIU.

During conference play, Neumeier logged 15 points with five goals and 10 helpers, recording a point in 12 league contests. He finished fourth in assists and seventh in points among league rookies during conference action.

The Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, native posted three multi-point games during ECAC play, registering a goal and an assist in the home win over RPI and the same at Yale. He also posted a goal and a helper at home against the Bulldogs.

The first-year scored two game-winning goals this season, including the overtime-winner at RPI that secured the Raiders an opening-round bye. Nuemier was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week following his performance that weekend. He also scored the winner in the victory over Cornell at home.

Defensively, Neumeier recorded a blocked shot in 28 contests this season, totaling 42, falling fourth-most on the squad. He recorded 11 multi-block contests, including a season-high four in the win at St. Lawrence
