BETHLEHEM, Pa.— The Patriot League announced its men's lacrosse weekly awards on Monday, with Colgate's Matt LaCombe earning Goalkeeper of the Week.
 
LaCombe was outstanding for the Raiders in their 14-11 win over Loyola last Saturday, making a season-best 20 saves, including several highlight stops to deny the Greyhounds. He finished one stop short of his career-high and logged a season-best .645 save percentage.
 
The junior held Loyola to one goal in the opening quarter, stopping eight shots. He did the same in the fourth, including three saves in the final nine minutes to hold off the Greyhounds during a Colgate run. LaCombe also made four saves in the second and five in the third.
 
It is the first time this season and the fourth time in his career that the Manlius, N.Y., native has taken home Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
 
Colgate remains home Saturday, taking on Lafayette in another Patriot League clash at 4 p.m.
