RESULTS  PRINCETON, N.J. —

Colgate rounded out its fall season with multiple boats competing at the Princeton Chase on Sunday.
 
"The Princeton Chase provides a very high level of competition and was a good regatta to end the fall season," said assistant coach Eric Summers. "It showed that we are moving in the right direction for the spring season as well as showing us what we need to work on to continue to improve as a team."
 
The Raiders' varsity eight led the way, placing eighth out of 35 boats, logging a time of 13:19.856. Colgate finished within 10 seconds of boats from Penn, Wisconsin, and Drexel. The 1V8 also beat out Georgetown and La Salle boats by four seconds and crews from Holy Cross and Columbia by over six seconds.
 
Colgate had another eight compete in Flight 2, which placed 11th after registering a time of 14:16.386. The Raiders came within eight seconds of Cornell and St. Joseph's and defeated boats from Georgetown, Navy, and Princeton.
 
The quad came in third in its race, crossing the finish line in 14:14.923. The crew was defeated by two boats from Princeton. Colgate also raced a fours boat that came in 27th place with a time of 17:30.197. 
 
The Raiders' pair finished in 16:06.100, good for fifth place out of 11. Colgate edged out Princeton by two seconds and trailed boats from Georgetown and Columbia.
 
Senior Riley Rice competed in the singles race, notching a third-place result with a time of 16:53.604. He beat rowers from Princeton and Georgetown.
 
Colgate now turns its attention to training for the championship season in the spring.
