Colgate Clipped, 4-3
Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. – Men's tennis jumped out to a 3-1 lead against Haverford College but was unable to seal the win, losing to the Flames, 4-3, to close their string of Spring break duels.
The Raiders stole the first point on Thursday afternoon with wins in doubles one and three. Josh Israel/Aidan Lee made their debut as a duo, pulling out a 6-3 victory in the first slot, while Jerome Falcon/Parker McGowan triumphed 6-4 in the third.
Falcon finished the duel undefeated with a quick win in singles four, his fourth solo victory in his last five duels, and after an Aidan Lee win on three the Raiders were only one point away from sealing the triumph.
Unfortunately, it was as close as they would get with the Flames besting the Raiders in the next three matchups to escape Lakeland with a win, dropping Colgate to 3-10 on the season.
