Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. Colgate men's tennis defeated Holy Cross 5-2 on Saturday afternoon on the road to improve to 7-5 on the season. The Raiders took the doubles point and proceeded to win lines three through six, showcasing their depth on the way to the victory.

"That was a wild match start to finish for the boys today with the good guys coming out on top 5-2" said Head Coach Bobby Pennington. "We won a tight doubles point winning at one and three dubs to clinch. The only person who won easily in singles was Lochlan, then to clinch it Lee, Jerome, and BG battled their way to victory. This takes us to 7-5 and a very important league win. Our doubles, depth, and culture won us that match. Next up two big spring break reps."

The action started with doubles, where the line one duo of senior captains Josh Israel and Benito Vlassis came up with a 6-3 victory to put the Raiders ahead. The sophomore duo of Parker McGowan and Jerome Falcon continued their dominant season to clinch the doubles point with a 7-5 win at line three.

First-year Lochlan Seth started singles action with a bang, winning 6-2, 6-1 at line four to put the Raiders ahead 2-0. The Crusaders took courts one and two to level the score, but it was all Colgate from that point on. Junior Aidan Lee saved multiple match points and came back from multiple large deficits to win 1-6, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2 to give the Raiders a commanding 3-2 lead. Falcon clinched the match with a 7-5, 7-5 victory at line six to give Colgate the victory. Senior captain Ben Graham added to the lead with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 comeback win at line five.

The Raiders return to action on Monday for the first match of their Miami spring break trip, where they will take on Florida National at 1 p.m. at the Biltmore Tennis Center. They will then take on 34th-ranked Miami on Tuesday at noon.
