Colgate Competes in Multiple Meets

HAMILTON – The Colgate Men's and Women's Track and Field team competed in multiple meets this weekend including the Texas Relays, Raleigh Relays, and Hamilton College Continental Invitational.

WOMENRaleigh Relays

Clare Gillis competed in the 100m and 200m dash. 

Sara Tabibian also competed in the 200m dash as well as the 400m hurdles.

Hamilton College Continental Invitational

The Raiders swept the pole vault with Melinda Haagensen finishing first with a facility record vault of 3.80m. Julianna Hallyburton came in second with a 3.30m leap and Elizabeth Driscoll behind her in third.

Colgate finished first and second in the 1500m run. Audrey Luell won the gold and teammate Hailey Bradley finished second. Bradley also crossed the finish line in second place in the 800m run with a time of 2:26.09.

Frances Munger placed third in the 5000m run.

First year Oonagh Last finished on the podium in the 400m dash with a 1:03.31 finish.

MEN

Texas Relays

Cole Blair competed in the Long Jump and leaped 6.62m.

Raleigh Relays

Ethan Eisner competed in the 400m dash.

Ben Horner competed in the 800m run.
Dakin Ebmeyer ran in the 1500m run with teammate Liam Davis.

Hamilton College Continental Invitational

Finn Kosich won the gold in the 800m run crossing the finish line at 1:58.37. Jack Gabrielle came in third in the event.

William Keiser won the 1500m run with a record time of 3:59.19. Owen DeMatt finished third in the event.
Colgate's relay teams showed up big, finishing first and second in the 4x400m relay. The foursome of  Owen DeMatt, Tyler Ferlise, Finn Kosich, and Jack Gabrielle finished first and Nicholas Larson, Jackson Vogel, Vincent Ryan, and David Stephens came second.

Owen Holland came first in the 5000m run with a record time of 15:04.23. Owen McMorrow came third in the event.

Jedidiah Guenthner finished second in the Triple Jump, leaping 12.56m.

Luca Sturgeon won silver in the 400m hurdles finishing at 57.38.

Jeffory Groth finished fourth in the 200m dash.

The Raiders will compete in the Pioneer Spring Invitational next weekend, Friday, Apr. 5 - Saturday, Apr. 6 in Utica, N.Y.
