HAMILTON - Sophia Diehl logged her fourth career double-double netting 16 points and grabbing 11 boards as the Raiders defeated Central Connecticut State, 74-60, at Cotterell Court.

The win over Central Connecticut is Colgate's first since 1997 and extends the Raiders home non-conference winning streak to four games.

COACH ADEDUNTAN'S COMMENTS

"I felt like we were finishing the play a lot more defensively [in the second half]. I didn't love the way we started but we turned the page in the second half and played better on both ends of the floor. Credit to Central Connecticut, I feel like they are tough and gritty. We were able to find a way throughout the game and I am proud of our kids for the way they kept fighting, kept playing, and I felt like they earned it.

There were a lot of stretches where we felt we were setting the tone, which is our aggressiveness. We hope to be able to establish this in every game. A lot more work for us to do as the season goes on but I am really happy with where we are right now."
