Colgate Places 147 on Patriot Fall Academic Honor Roll
HAMILTON – Colgate University placed 147 student-athletes on the 2023-24 Patriot League Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced by the League office on Thursday.
To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must earn a 3.20-grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. Those seven sports include men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.
Colgate saw 23 men's cross country, 14 women's cross country, 21 field hockey, 31 football, 23 men's soccer, 22 women's soccer, and 13 volleyball student-athletes earn honor roll distinction.
Colgate's 147 fall total is up from last year's 132 and ranked third among Patriot League institutions. Men's soccer and men's cross country ranked No. 1 among their respective Patriot League peers with 23 honorees each.
The Patriot League Fall Academic Honor Roll is composed of 621 men across three sports and 615 women recognized in four sports. Women's soccer finished with 216 academic honor roll members, 16 more than in 2022, while men's soccer placed 161 student-athletes on the honor roll.
