BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Ella Murphy of the Colgate field hockey team garnered All-Patriot League First Team honors, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
 
This is the second straight year the Kitchener, Ontario native has earned Patriot League postseason accolades, and it's her first time on the First Team.
 
The senior tallied 16 points, notching four goals and a career-best eight assists, and finished third in the conference in assists and tied for eighth in points.
 
Murphy recorded a point in seven contests and logged five multi-point games. She registered a goal and an assist at Saint Louis (Sept. 10) and against Dartmouth (Sept. 24). The goal against SLU served as the overtime-winner in a 3-2 victory.

Murphy also put up a four-point performance with a goal and two assists at Cornell (Oct. 3). Additionally, she logged a pair of assists in Colgate's overtime defeat of Rider. 
 
The midfielder led the squad and also ranked fourth in the Patriot League in shots after firing a career-high 49. She averaged 4.08 shots per contest, falling second-most in the conference, and put 24 of those on target. She ripped a career-best 10 shots in Colgate's season-opener against Central Michigan on Aug. 25.
 
Murphy wraps up her Colgate career with 41 points, tallying 12 goals and 17 assists. She played in 46 games as a Raider, starting all of them.
