BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Colgate field hockey senior Rachel Alderfer was named to the Patriot League All-Academic team, announced on Wednesday by the conference office.
The Environmental Studies major is a three-time Raider Academic Honor Roll and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection.
She has also been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad for three consecutive years. Additionally, Alderfer has earned Dean's List with Distinction honors for her hard work in the classroom.
On the field, the defender started all eight games she played this season before an injury sidelined her for the remainder of the year. During that time, Alderfer tallied seven points with three goals and an assist. She scored in back-to-back contests against Sacred Heart and Lock Haven. Alderfer also logged three points with a goal and an assist against Dartmouth.

The Norristown, Pa. native earns Patriot League postseason recognition for the second time in her career after being named to the All-Patriot League Second Team last season.
