Colgate Loses to Army in Regular Season Finale, 13-10
HAMILTON - Kyra Lucey equaled the all-time leader in career assists in Colgate women's lacrosse history, however Colgate fell to Army 13-10 on Thursday night at Andy Kerr Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After the Black Knights scored four minutes in, the Raiders responded with a three goal run starting with a Caroline Panzirer free position goal. Panzirer scored her second just a minute later. Kyra Lucey found Lucy Licata with 51 seconds left to give Colgate a 3-1 lead.
Army was able to score with seven seconds left to cut the Raider lead to 3-2 after the first quarter.
Army scored three unanswered to begin the second quarter before Lucey found Devon Maillet on the doorstep to get the Raiders back within one. Army netted another goal with 1:31 left in the half to go up 6-4.
Ella Bishara took the ball coast-to-coast and scored a goal with 40 seconds left and Colgate trailed 6-5 at the break.
The Black Knights scored two goals coming out of the locker room to push their lead to 8-5. Kait Henning converted a free position opportunity with 8:16 left in the third quarter. Army scored two more goals before Bishara connected for her second of the night as Colgate trailed 10-7 after the third frame.
Army scored another three unanswered to start the final frame. Colgate turned it up in the final three minutes of the game scoring three goals. Henning netted her second of the night before Licata scored her 28th goal of the season.
Maillet was able to score with 1:23 left but the Raiders eventually fell 13-10 to the Army Black Knights.
Lauren Solis had a solid 13 save performance in 60 minutes of action for the Raiders.

Colgate (3-13, 3-6) will now turn its attention to Holy Cross in the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinal. The game will take place in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday, April 28 at 1 p.m. The game will be available on ESPN+.
