Colgate Loses Tight Game to Cornell, 15-13
HAMILTON - Lauren Thompson and Devon Maillet combined for eight goals but it wasn't enough as Colgate fell to Cornell 15-13 on Tuesday night at Andy Kerr Stadium.
COACH TAYLOR'S COMMENTS
"Our defense played spectacularly and we answered the run they went on. We were able to respond after a Cornell run and score five straight of our own. Lacrosse is a game of runs and they had the last run tonight, but I am very proud of the team for showing up in the face of adversity. Lauren Thompson coming off the heels of a four-goal game scored five goals tonight and added an assist. Devon Maillet netted a hat trick and our offense seems to be finding a rhythm with Kyra Lucey finding her teammates with four assists. We will build off of this and look forward to another Patriot League contest against Loyola on Saturday "
