Varsity Eight Wins at High Point
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Colgate captured first place in the varsity eight, besting boats from High Point and Marist, to headline the Raiders' action in the three-team battle Saturday afternoon at Lake Brandt.
Colgate's 1v8 took first place with a time of 6:50.05, crossing the line ahead of second-place High Point (6:59.1) and third-place Marist (7:03.6). The 2v8 clocked in with a second-place time of 7:17.7, trailing only Marist (7:10.3) and finishing two seconds faster than High Point (7:19.5).
The Raiders' 1v4+ also competed in the race, placing third with a time of 8:29.47. Marist's varsity four took the top spot (7:59.42) followed by High Point in second place at 8:05.16.
UP NEXT
Colgate is back in action next Saturday when the Raiders take on Cornell and George Washington in Ithaca.
