HAMILTON – Colgate Athletics is excited to welcome 11 new members to the 2024 Hall of Honor.This year's lineup of inductees features seven men and four women who have together accumulated 31 conference championships across 13 varsity sports during their Colgate careers. The group brings the Hall of Honor membership to 274 honorees. 

The inductees will be officially enshrined into the Hall of Honor during Colgate's annual Homecoming weekend celebration on Saturday, Sept. 21. More information on the event, including ticket and registration information, can be found here.

Hall of Honor inductions take place every two years to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Colgate Athletics. The Hall of Honor's purpose is to perpetuate the memory of those who have brought distinction, honor, and excellence to Colgate Athletics.

"We are thrilled to welcome our newest inductees to the Hall of Honor," Colgate's Vice President and Director of Athletics Yariv Amir '01 said. "It is an honor to recognize this accomplished group of individuals who have made a remarkable impact on Colgate University and athletics. These honorees are true stewards of Colgate, representing the University with excellence in every field and every arena. I look forward to celebrating them during Homecoming weekend."

2024 Hall of Honor Inductees

Emily Braseth '05 (Women's Basketball)

Emily Braseth is one of only two Colgate women's basketball players to be named to the All-Patriot League Team three times (2003, 2004, 2005), and one of only three Colgate women's basketball players to lead the team in average points for three straight years (2003, 2004, 2005). A swiss-army knife for the Raiders, Braseth boasts the program's third-highest career scoring average (14.6 ppg), seventh-best career rebounding average (5.9 rpg) and ranks 10th in career assist average (2.6 apg). Braseth also scored 1,417 points during her career, good for seventh most in program history, despite limited playing time (97 game) due to injury. She helped lead Colgate to a Patriot League championship and the program's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2003-04. Braseth today is the only Colgate women's basketball student-athlete named to the Patriot League Quarter Century team. 

Chris Eck '08 (Men's Lacrosse)Chris Eck has made an enduring impact on lacrosse, excelling both on and off the field throughout his illustrious career. As a standout player, he represented Team USA at the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship and achieved remarkable success in Major League Lacrosse (MLL, now the PLL) from 2008 to 2014. During his collegiate tenure, Eck earned acclaim as a three-time All-Patriot League selection and was instrumental in Colgate's first Patriot League Championship in 2008. He also earned spots on the Patriot League All-Tournament Team in 2007 and 2008. Eck holds Colgate's program record for career faceoff wins with 603 and a season-high faceoff win percentage of 65.3%. His contributions were further recognized with his selection to the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse 25th Anniversary Team. In professional lacrosse, Eck continued to shine, being named a four-time MLL All-Star (2014, 2012, 2011, 2010), earning All-Pro honors in 2011, and securing an MLL Championship with the Boston Cannons in 2011. He ranks fourth all-time in the MLL for faceoff wins with 1,219 and second in wins per game with 16.7. Additionally, Eck is third in faceoff win percentage for Team USA, boasting a 74.7% success rate (65-of-87). Beyond his playing career, Eck founded Eck's Factor Lacrosse and partners with the Faceoff Academy to mentor the next generation of faceoff specialists, largely in the Bay Area. In addition to coaching, he contributes his talents at Google in Sales and plays an active role in lacrosse development, serving on the board for the Haudenosaunee Nationals Development Group and Team USA's High Performance Committee.

Mike Gallihugh '08 (Football)Mike Gallihugh was a two-time All-American and two-time All-Patriot League First Team selection as a linebacker on the 2006 and 2007 Colgate football teams. In both seasons, Gallihugh was a Buck Buchanan Award Finalist, an honor bestowed on the FCS best defensive player in the nation. He led the nation in tackles per game (12.73) in 2006 en route to securing All-America Third Team honors. He was a key contributor in Colgate's Patriot League championship as a first-year in 2005, and was honored by the National Football Foundation in 2006 and 2007. During his time with the Raiders, he appeared in 41 career games with 22 starts, registering 274 tackles (151 solo) including 20 tackles for loss, adding three fumbles forced, three fumble recoveries, 7.5 sacks and three interceptions.

Todd Kennedy '92 (Men's Cross Country & Track)Todd Kennedy was a two-time Patriot League champion, winning the steeplechase in 1991 and the indoor mile in 1992. A 12-time letterwinner, he garnered All-East accolades in 1990 (cross country) and 1992 (indoor and outdoor track). Kennedy was the 1992 ECAC Merit Medal winner and was also named MVP of the track team. He served as captain for cross country and track during his junior and senior seasons. In 1988, Kennedy was named Most Outstanding Freshman in cross country before earning the team's Most Improved award the following year. He holds the program record in the 3000-meter steeplechase (8:59.10), breaking his own mark he set at Penn Relays earlier that season in 1992. Kennedy previously held records in the indoor 3000 meters and 5000 meters and ranks in the top 10 in seven events. Kennedy went on to work in college athletics at George Washington University, the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University and is now the senior vice president for finance communications supporting the CFO at Citigroup. 

Kiki Koroshetz '11 (Women's Soccer)Kiki Koroshetz was a leader on the field and in the classroom during her time with the Colgate Women's Soccer team. She was named the Patriot League Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the Patriot League All-Academic Team in 2010 after garnering District 1 Academic All-American honors in 2009. Koroshetz was a two-time Patriot League All-Tournament selection (2006, 2010) and was a member of the 2008 Patriot League Championship team. She served as team captain during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Koroshetz earned the program's Most Improved Player award in 2006, the Team Spirit award in 2008, and was a two-time recipient of the Raider Award (2009, 2010).

David McIntyre '10 (Men's Hockey)David McIntyre had one of the most remarkable careers in Colgate Hockey history. A 2009 Hobey Baker Finalist and First Team All-American, McIntyre finished 24th in program history in career scoring and sixth in games played. He was a two-time ECAC All-League selection, earning first team in 2009 and second team in 2010. McIntyre served as team captain his senior year and was a three-time ECAC All-Academic honoree. He also earned the program's Rob Ries Memorial Award and the Terry Slater Trophy in addition to garnering Colgate's Director of Athletics Award in 2010. He went on to play in the AHL and eventually the NHL with the Minnesota Wild before playing 10 seasons in Europe, retiring in March 2024.

Emily Murphy '09 (Women's Swimming and Diving)Emily Murphy stands as one of the most decorated swimmers in Colgate program history. An 18-time Patriot League champion, Murphy secured eight individual gold medals along with 10 relay titles during her time in the maroon and white. She became the first female swimmer in Colgate history to qualify for Division I NCAA Championship, finishing 27th at NCAAs in the 100 Breaststroke. Murphy guided the Raiders to back-to-back Patriot League championships in 2008 and 2009. As a four-time All-Patriot League honoree, including three years as a first team selection, she captured seven individual gold medals as a first-year, four as a junior, and seven as a senior. Murphy holds six current team records in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke, 200 and 400 Medley Relay, and 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay. She was a two-time Team MVP and a senior captain of the 2009 team that won its second consecutive league title. Murphy graduated with 9 of the top 10 times ever in Colgate history in the 100 Breaststroke, 7 of the top 10 times ever in the 200 Breaststroke.

Phinel Petit-Frere '01 (Men's Track and Field) Phinel Petit-Frere made his mark on the Colgate Track & Field team, joining as a "walk-on" in his sophomore year and quickly rising to team captain for his junior and senior seasons. Over his standout three-year career, Phinel was awarded "Excellence for Achieving" every year. He dominated with six Patriot League championships, securing titles in both indoor and outdoor high jump in 2000 and 2001, as well as indoor and outdoor long jump in 2001. His success earned him 10 All-Patriot League selections across long jump, high jump, 200 meters, and 4x100 meters events. During his senior year, Phinel clinched back-to-back Patriot League Field Athlete of the Meet honors for his stellar performances at the Indoor and Outdoor Patriot League Championships. His achievements extended beyond league competition, securing gold in the high jump at the Colonial Relays and silver at the Outdoor IC4A Championship, Millrose Games, and Penn Relays. To this day, Phinel Petit-Frere remains unmatched in Colgate Track & Field history as the sole athlete to achieve sub-11 seconds in the 100 meters, sub-22 seconds in the 200 meters, to leap over 24 feet in the long jump, and clear over 7 feet in the high jump.

Natalie Rawson '05 (Softball, Volleyball)A four-time All-Patriot League selection and two-time All-Region honoree, Natalie Rawson is Colgate Softball's all-time leader in career RBIs (130) and second on the program's career home run leaderboard (32). Rawson also holds the record for most RBI in a season (48) and in a game (9), boasting a program record 13 homers in her rookie campaign. A member of the Patriot League's 25th All-Anniversary Team, Rawson was a two-sport athlete at Colgate also being named to the volleyball All-Patriot League second team in 2004. She now owns her own business in the youth sports space after a volleyball coaching career where she spent time at the club, college, and high school levels.

Doug Reffue '92 (Men's Soccer)Doug Reffue graduated second in program history with 64 points. He ended his career ranked third all-time in goals (25) and second in assists (14). Reffue helped lead the Raiders to their first two 10-win seasons ever (1988,1991) and graduated with 37 career victories, which was the most by any class in program history. Following his senior season Reffue was named to the All-Patriot League first team and garnered regional All-America honors as a first-team All-New York selection. He was also honored as the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for soccer and was selected as a first-team Academic All-American. He still ranks seventh in program history for goals and fifth for assists and points. Reffue earned his MBA from Boston College in 1995 and has worked several years in the sports industry, including as the Director of Soccer at Brine Inc., the President and General Manager of the Boston Blazers of the National Lacrosse League, and the Vice President of Operations at Sports Club/LA. He was named a Boston Business Journal "40 Under 40" recipient in 2009. Reffue is currently the CEO of Pets52 and still plays competitive soccer in an over-50 league in the Boston area with the Neponset Old Boys Club. 

Kyle Roemer '10 (Men's Basketball) Kyle Roemer graduated as one of the most prolific three-point shooters in Colgate Men's Basketball program history. He concluded his Raider career ranked fourth all-time in scoring with 1,640 points, 10th in steals with 134, and first in three-point field goals made with 267. His 38.7 career three-point field goal percentage ranks inside the top 10 in program history. He was a two-time All-Patriot League selection and garnered NABC All-District honors in 2010 after averaging 18.8 points per game, one of the highest-scoring single seasons in program history. As a two-year captain, Roemer was the team's leading scorer in three seasons.
