HAMILTON — Colgate pounded 19 hits and 18 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Le Moyne, taking the opener 10-2 in five innings and securing the nightcap 8-4, Wednesday afternoon at Eaton Street Field.

Jillian Herbst paced Colgate's offensive display with five hits in six at-bats, along with six RBIs, five runs scored, a home run, and a double. Claire Whalen went 4-for-7 with four runs scored, while Quinn Livesay added three hits and an RBI.

"It was great to get back into the win column for sure. I'm really happy how we were able to play two complete games. We still had some miscues on the defensive side of the ball but when the offensive is moving like it was, it makes those miscues a bit easier to handle. I have to note we had some really great outfield play today. You can never underestimate the power of a great outfield and today they were just that great. I'm hoping with all the positive things that happened today we can roll right into the weekend feeling confident."

Game 1 | Colgate 10, Le Moyne 2 (5)

• Colgate plated four runs in the third and fifth innings, including a three-run homer from Herbst to end the game in five frames. Eight different Raiders recorded a hit in the win, including Whalen, Herbst, and Livesay who each had two hits. 
• The Raiders built a 5-0 lead with four runs on the strength of five hits in the bottom of the third. Mia Cascio ripped a two-run single up the middle followed by a run-scoring double from Alexis Romero to highlight Colgate's first big inning. 
• After each team scored a run in the fourth, Colgate went back to work in the home half of the fifth. Amanda DeSantis scored Romero with an RBI single before Whalen reached on an infield single – setting the stage for Herbst who crushed a walk-off three-run homer over the wall in center to put the Raiders over the run-limit in the 10-2 victory. 
• Mikala Ham earned the win in the circle, pitching 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief with one strikeout. Alexa Acker did not factor in the decision. She started in the circle, scattering two runs and six hits with three strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings. 

Game 2 | Colgate 8, Le Moyne 4

• Colgate took advantage of two early miscues to build a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Le Moyne countered with three runs in the top of the second to draw even.
• Both pitchers settled in from there, with the Raiders reclaiming a 4-3 lead on a sacrifice fly from Herbst in the fourth. With the Raiders leading 4-3, Le Moyne scratched the tying run across in the top of the sixth on an RBI triple from Alyssa Dybacz.
• Colgate wasted little time to respond offensively. Mackenzie Lewis ripped a leadoff double, and then back-to-back singles from Whalen and Herbst led to a pair of runs. Analisa Raffaelli cranked a single to right field, followed by an error that allowed two more runs to score and bring Colgate's lead to 8-4 after six innings.
• Maya Servedio slammed the door with a 1-2-3 seventh inning, capping off the win with a strikeout to complete the doubleheader sweep. Servedio earned the win in the circle, yielding four hits and one earned run over 5.0 innings of relief to improve to 7-16 on the year.
