HAMILTON – The Colgate men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to compete in the Patriot League Championships Wednesday, Feb. 21, through Saturday, Feb. 24, in the U.S. Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md.

Colgate looks to continue its momentum after seeing success throughout the 2023-24 season. The women finished the regular season with a 5-3 record, including 2-2 against Patriot League competition with wins over Lafayette and Holy Cross – the program's first win over the Crusaders since 2018. 

The women at 5-3 overall secured their first winning season since 2017-18, when they compiled the same mark. On the men's side, wins over Le Moyne and Hamilton highlight the program's 2-6 mark heading into the Patriot League championships. 

Last year's championship saw the women place eighth with 202.5 points, nearly 50 points higher than the previous season. The men, meanwhile, scored 107.5 points during last year's championships, a significant improvement from their 80 points scored from the previous year. 

Patriot League Championship Schedule
The four-day event will begin on Wednesday with the women's three-meter diving trials at 1 p.m. The swimming events will kick off Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. with the first heat of the women's 200-yard medley relay final. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. and the finals will swim at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The remaining diving trials will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

Tickets are available for all sessions of the 2024 Patriot League Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall by visiting the Navy Sports official ticketing website.  

Visiting the U.S. Naval Academy
Vehicle access to the United States Naval Academy is restricted to those vehicles driven by someone with a Department of Defense identification card. All other visitors -- including fans attending sporting events -- will need to park outside of the USNA grounds and enter the Academy through the visitor's entrance located at Gate One (located at the corner of King George St. and Randall St. in downtown Annapolis; for GPS purposes use 52 King George St., Annapolis, MD, 21402).
