HAMILTON – The Colgate University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been recognized as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced Monday.

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the spring 2024 semester.

The women's team posted a 3.61 spring GPA, the fifth-best mark among its Patriot League peers. The men's team earned a 3.44 spring GPA, ranking fourth in the Patriot League.

The CSCAA also recognizes individual Scholar All-America athletes for their academic achievements. Those selections will be announced at a later date.

"The commitment to academic excellence shown by these teams is truly admirable. It's inspiring to see student-athletes excelling both in the pool and in their studies," said Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA. "The CSCAA takes great pride in acknowledging and celebrating the dedication and perseverance of these teams."
