Swim & Dive Lands CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors
HAMILTON – The Colgate men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both recognized on the Fall Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Monday afternoon.
Under head coach Ed Pretre, the men's side comprising of 25 student-athletes compiled a 3.57 GPA to garner placement on the prestigious list. The women's team, with 36 student-athletes, earned a 3.47 team GPA. The men's and women's teams are two of 595 selected with a GPA of 3.30 or higher, making them eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The annual award selected 783 teams from 461 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester. In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester.
