HAMILTON – After securing four wins in two meets against Holy Cross and Boston University, Colgate first-year MG King has been named the Patriot League Swimmer of the Week. 

King was a dominant force, winning three events against Holy Cross to lead the Raiders to their first victory over the Crusaders since 2018. They brought home first-place finishes in the 1000-yard free (10:45.31), 500-yard free (5:15.47), and 100-yard back (59.07). 

The Lake Forest, Ill., native secured back-to-back wins in the 500-yard free after taking the top spot against Boston University on Saturday. King bested their previous mark with a time of 5:11.69, edging Boston University's second-place swimmer by six seconds. 

King has won at least one event in each of the last three meets. This is their first weekly honor of the season.
